ARA Health Specialists, PA, formerly known as Asheville Radiology Associates, is western North Carolina’s preeminent multispecialty practice. Its team includes board-certified radiologists, vascular surgeons, neuro-interventional radiologists, and the physician assistants and support personnel necessary to deliver exceptional service to every patient.

The practice is highly subspecialized and includes 38 radiologists and five vascular surgeons who provide full-service diagnoses and treatments for nine hospitals, dozens of outpatient facilities, hundreds of referring physicians, and thousands of patients throughout the region. ARA’s fellowship-trained subspecialists include body, breast, cardiothoracic, musculoskeletal, neurological, interventional, and pediatric radiologists, as well as vascular surgeons and nuclear medicine physicians.

Founded in 1944 and located in North Carolina’s western Blue Ridge Mountains, the practice has deep roots in Asheville, the county seat of Buncombe County, and has forged tight relationship with Mission Health, which has served Western North Carolina since 1885.
